Exploring Ashokan

The Ashokan Center's campus is nestled at the edge of the mountains near the Esopus river and falls. We have the whole campus to ourselves and you are more than welcome to hike around, canoe, use the sauna or just chill on Hoot Hill with a good book. You can learn even more by visiting them here you can also download this map for later use here.

Exploring the Catskills

Whether you are staying on site or at a local hotel in Kingston, you may want to explore the area and make a real weekend of it. Here you can find our favorite spots in the Hudson valley as well as some local hotels that are just 20-30 minuets outside of Ashokan.

Gift Registry

We have everything we need-- except for celebrating with our friends and family for a weekend in the Catskills. If you would like to give use a gift, please consider making a donation of any amount to any charity listed below. Thank you all so much for being a part of our lives

FAQ

How will we book stays at the camp?

When you fill out the RSVP you will be prompted to select a housing option. From there you will be contacted by Lisa at the Ashokan center who will take it from there.

What should I wear?

The walk down to the covered bridge where our ceremony will be held is at a slight decline. If you have any accessibility needs, either to the ceremony or around the Ashokan Center, there is transportation available. Flats and comfortable layers are recommended for the ceremony (save your heels for the reception). There is no dress code for the wedding/reception. The couple requests that you dress in such a way that you feel most like the amazing and beautiful person that you are.

Can my children come?

Absolutley! They are welcome to stay on campus and explore and frolic with the rest of the grown folk.

Wait, the whole weekend? What will I do? where will I go? What will I eat?!?

Meals wil be provided by Ashokan for our guests. This includes the Firday night BBQ, breakfast Saturday morning, lunch after the ceremony, and of course dinner and happy hour apps on Saturday night. You can bring outside food if you would like, just not outside liquor per Ashokan's policy.

Can I bring my pets?

Unfortunately, the Ashokan Center prohibits dogs and other pets from the grounds.

Do I have to stay at the Ashokan Center?

Absolutley not! The closest hotels are in Kingston about 30 minutes away. You may also want to check Vrbo for listings in the area. Check back to see if we decided to offer a shuttle service to said hotels.

Can I come to the friday night festivities?

Yes! We hope to spend as much of the weekend as we can with all of our guests. You will see a portion in the RSVP asking if you will attend the Friday night bbq & movie night.
